Do I need a paid ChatGPT plan to add the Easy Fetcher plugin?

You need ChatGPT's Developer mode, which sits under Settings → Plugins and is available on its paid plans — the free plan only offers the built-in plugins. On Business and Enterprise workspaces an admin may also need to allow custom plugins before the option appears. Easy Fetcher itself still has a free plan.

Is it safe to connect GSC to ChatGPT?

Yes. The connection is read-only through Google OAuth, tokens are encrypted at rest, and your search data is never used to train AI models. You can revoke access any time from your Easy Fetcher dashboard or your Google account. ChatGPT flags Developer mode as elevated risk because OpenAI hasn't reviewed custom plugins — which is why ours exposes read-only tools and nothing that can write to your accounts.

What Search Console data can ChatGPT access once connected?

ChatGPT can read clicks, impressions, CTR and average position by query, page, country, device and search appearance, plus index coverage, URL inspection and sitemap status. It's strictly read-only, so ChatGPT can answer questions and build reports but can never change anything in Search Console.

Does this work in the ChatGPT desktop app as well as the web app?

Set the plugin up in ChatGPT on the web — that's where Developer mode and the New Plugin dialog live. Once it's created and you've signed in with Easy Fetcher, it's tied to your account and available wherever you're signed in, including the desktop app.

Why isn't my Search Console data showing up in ChatGPT?

It's almost always one of four things: Developer mode is switched off, the Server URL is missing the /mcp path, you created the plugin but never completed the Easy Fetcher sign-in, or the connected Google account doesn't have at least Restricted access to that property. Check them in that order.

Sign in to Easy Fetcher, connect your Search Console property with read-only Google OAuth, and copy your MCP URL. In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins and switch on Developer mode, then click the + icon on the Plugins screen, paste your MCP URL as the Server URL, set Authentication to OAuth and click Create.
